Physical Education – Mr Lourens Viljoen

Welcome to all of our new and returning students to our PE lessons for 2019.

Pre-Primaries will have the opportunities to develop, practise and build on their fundamental movement skills in a variety of different games, being focused mainly on body management, core strength, fitness and awareness of space.

Years 1 and 2 will have the opportunities to extend their fundamental movement skills by performing more complex movements including different types of throws and games.

Years 3 and 4 will learn basic skills associated with a range of sports to develop the fundamental skills for these games.

Years 5 and 6 will focus on tactics, cooperation and improvement in athletic abilities. These students will also focus on a range of sports, however the specific focus will be on tactics, strategies and cooperation to gain advantage in games.

I will also work more closely with students who have scored at the below expected level for Physical Education in Year One and Two to improve their skills to be work towards being at level for their year.
