AIEO – Mrs Diane Stewart-Parker
My name is Mrs Diane Stewart Parker,
I am a Nyangumarta woman and have lived in Hedland forever, my role at Cassia Primary School is an Aboriginal Islander Education Officer and I have been at Cassia Primary School for 17 years. I enjoy being a part of our awesome school working alongside teachers with great learning environments, celebrating our student’s achievements and milestones in their education. Often, I am invited into classes to give my experience and knowledge linking the Aboriginal Perspective across the curriculum. I really enjoy these lessons as students and I continue to build on our respectful relationships as we get to share our cultures and beliefs.
This year I am looking forward to linking into our community and catching up with parents a bit more.
Always feel free to have a yarn with me.
